The list below includes waitlist options, as well as places that are actually taking appointments for vaccinations (see map). Be sure to monitor email as responses can occur with little advanced notice. Recommendation is to participate on all waitlists at the hospitals as well as search for appointments through our pharmacy partners. Once you confirm your appointment series, however, please be sure to cancel with the other providers so appointments can free up for other Coloradans.
In Colorado we are currently in Phase IB.2 and are moving rapidly through this phase with the focus turning to teachers and child care workers. In Douglas County, we have had great success in reaching our senior (age 70+) population with 67% of this group becoming vaccinated. Overall in Douglas County our vaccination rate is 15.1%.
Colorado is vaccinating based upon the COVID-19 Vaccine Distribution model, which started with our most vulnerable populations, those working with direct contact with COVID-19 patients and those residents and staff in our long term care facilities. We have now included first responders, correctional workers and funeral services employees, those 65 and up, educators and licensed child care program workers. Vaccine supply continues to be tenuous, and in all likelihood will continue for a period of time.
