While holding strong to our hometown values, Kevin has proven highly effective at reaching across the aisle to achieve broad bipartisan support for his policy solutions. Bringing much needed balance and common sense to our Colorado State Government, Kevin introduced a total of 15 bills in 2018. Few legislators in either party have proven more effective at solving our states most pressing needs.
Our State Rep. Kevin Van Winkle is currently the Ranking Member of the House Finance Committee and a member of the House Business Affairs & Labor Committee, so he knows how to keep our economy growing.
Because of his honesty and integrity, Kevin was appointed to the bipartisan Legislative Board of Ethics.
A law and order advocate who strongly supports our first responders, Kevin is also a proud member of the bipartisan Police Officers’ and Firefighters’ Pension Reform Commission.
This year, Rep. Van Winkle fought to create a non-partisan legislative PERA (Public Employees’ Retirement Association) oversight board to protect workers and retirees and ensure future fiscal responsibility – the board is now a reality and he was recently appointed to help lead it.
